UNC-CH Grants Licensing Agreement

We’re excited to announce that Reborn will expand our Collegiate Collection to The University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.

Through a licensing agreement, just like our licensing agreements with NC State and East Carolina, the university permits us to manufacture UNC branded products. We’re thrilled to create a closed-loop system for UNC from their surplus and deadstock branded apparel.

Collegiate licensing protects the institution’s logo and trademark. Each school takes this seriously in an effort to protect the integrity of the university and their emblems. In short, not anyone can print a bunch of t-shirts with the words UNC on them. First, the brand applies for licensing. This process, for us, has meant submitting product samples and designs, a marketing plan and forecast of sales, compliance with fair labor standards, and more.

Through our newly developed licensing agreement, Reborn will now sell UNC-CH branded products online and through retail channels.

This is just another reason universities choose to work with Reborn – we protect the school by transforming outdated or surplus branded goods into something of value, and we’re a revenue stream for the university by paying royalty rates on the new products.

What’s next for us at the University of North Carolina? You won’t have to wait long to get your hands on a Reborn UNC product!
