Chapter 17: Our Team and You

A startup is not easy, by any means. It is not a 9 to 5, it is not 40 hours a week, and it is definitely not something you can “leave at work.”

Just ask our founder and CEO, Emily. A startup will keep you up late at night and have you up early in the morning, excited and ready to take on another day navigating the waters of establishing your brand. A startup will have you on your feet all day and if you are sitting – it’s because your inbox is flooded.

So, how do we do it all? We build a team.

At Reborn, we are building a team of passionate, energized individuals so we can meet our deadlines and exceed our goals. On our team, every member has their own niche, but we all do a little of everything; that’s just the nature of a startup, and the nature of a productive team.

“Every day, we have to wake up and hold ourselves accountable to doing our jobs better than the day before. ”

— Emily Neville

With so much designing, marketing, developing, blogging, re-designing, evaluating, instagramming, brainstorming, prototyping, and repeating going on (yes, we know that’s a lot), we’re all busy. We have a system to keep us accountable and make sure tasks get completed. The work is divided up based on positions, individual strengths, and availability, and we get it done!

For example, I, Pranali, am the Creative Director at Reborn. A few months ago, we were looking to increase our reach, develop a company culture, and put out some content, so I started this blog. This summer, Julianna joined our team as an intern. Julianna has a real knack for writing, so she started writing incredibly engaging posts for our blog, along with the other jobs she’s responsible for. At Reborn, we want to make sure our team is working efficiently and passionately, so we can keep moving forward, while having fun.

That’s how Reborn has picked up so much momentum. With smart management, our productivity is through the roof, but there is still so much to be done. This is where you come in.

As Reborn is growing exponentially, we are looking to grow our team. No matter your area of expertise, we probably need you. Reborn has positions open for product development, social media, graphic design, photo and video, event planning, and marketing, and we’ll put you where your skills will shine.

Our HQ is in Raleigh, North Carolina,  but if you happen to be hundreds of miles away and passionate about sustainable fashion, there is still a place for you on our team! We are looking for Brand Ambassadors to represent Reborn and get their communities involved in upcycling. As a Reborn ambassador, you have the opportunity to host events, contribute to our social media, and advocate for sustainability! For more information on being a Brand Ambassador click here.

Ask anyone on our team and they’ll tell you that we’re having an incredible time building this incredible company.
